        最早的世家大部分是官封贵族之后，靠着祖先获取的政治特权和经济特权，大量的向中央向地方输送族中优秀子弟，后世子孙也在这种庇荫之下，通过各种途径，担任朝廷的要职，形成家族、姓氏势力。

        最终他们以血缘为依托攫取政治权力，以地缘为依托攫取经济利益，成为豪强门阀。

        何谓“门阀”？

        阀，这个字最早的意思就是一根柱子，古时正门左右各有两根柱子，左为“阀”，右为“阅”，左右两柱用以记录祖宗、家族功绩官勋，《史记·高祖功臣侯者年表》之中曾言：“明其等曰阀，积日为阅”。

        什么意思呢？

        意思就是什么级别的功劳叫做阀，当官的经历叫做阅。

        由此可知，没有祖宗的功勋，没有累世的官宦，是不能称之为“门阀”的……...
